Painted Ikea Dresser

Fall Entry 2017 - California Casual | helloallisonblog.com

One of my favorite and first DIYs in our home was our IKEA dressers turned entry console table. It is still one of my most popular posts and a project I get asked about frequently. My style has changed quite a bit in the last year, from a rustic farmhouse style to a little more modern but didn’t want to have to replace all of our furniture. So, painting our existing entry console seemed like the perfect solution.

I got so lucky with this project and truth be told, I actually just used the sample can of paint I got from Lowe’s to paint the WHOLE THING! If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I never do things correctly or the traditional way. ๐Ÿ™‚ But I had the paint, and thought why not?

I actually had two different colors of greens that I could not decide on in the store, so I brought home the samples and Peacock House was clearly the winner. The sample can was a satin finish, so that was perfect for this project! Plus, I’m always brainstorming what to do with all my sample cans, so instead of spending another $20 on a quart of paint, I just used the sample!!

This was such an easy project and something I have been wanting to do for a long time. These dressers provide so much needed storage for our small home, and they are perfect for storing all our keys, sunglasses, bills, magazines, etc.
