CHRISTMAS LIVING ROOM

I loved the dark green with black and white theme I did last year and plan to do it again. It’s just an easy color scheme on the eyes, it’s neutral, and looks great all winter long. The tree from last year was one of my favorites, but this year I’m adding this black tree collar. I’ve also added a faux black fireplace mantel to the design board for our stockings. Do I have a fireplace for a mantel? No. Am I going to build one? Yes. I’m hoping it will be a quick DIY I can do with some scrap wood.
CHRISTMAS DINING ROOM
In the dining room, I am keeping it simple but continuing the color scheme. Our living room, dining room, and kitchen are one big great room so the color scheme will stay the same. I also will not be adding too much decor to any particular room so that it’s not overwhelming or feels like too much. In the dining room, I will be using decor I already have except for these gorgeous tree plates from the Hearth and Hand Collection. Plus, I love how they compliment the Vol 25 art print in the living room.
The kitchen will also be kept simple but still festive. Sadly, this year we weren’t able to complete our kitchen makeover but of course, it’s still going to be decorated for the holidays. Again, using things I already own but added this cute cookie jar and new dish towels. The letterboard is one of my favorite things in our kitchen and I’m always changing the saying/quote each month or season. And it always has to have a kitchen pun! I forget to share them most of the time, but I will!
I always decorate our bedroom for Christmas. It makes the room so cozy and it’s great for cuddling up and watching Christmas movies. I’d love to put a tree back in the room, but for this year a few wreaths above the bed will do. I started a master bedroom update earlier this summer, but haven’t completed all the plans yet. And because I can never get enough, I’ll add a few more ceramic houses with twinkle lights on our DIY nightstands. The green art prints will be perfect for a cozy Christmas vibe.
