I’m so excited for this month’s Shop the House post. If you haven’t heard, myself and a handful of very talented bloggers have chosen one space in our home to redecorate each month using items we already have in fun and creative ways. Let me first start by making a huge confession – I’ve got a new office chair. To be fair, it was purchased before we started the challenge but was on back order from Wayfair. Um, I am OBSESSED with it! It was worth the wait in every way, it completes the space and makes me feel like a grown up with a fancy office (even if it’s technically in the hallway).
Inspired by my book art prints from Canvas HQ, I decided to continue the book theme and create small collections of books. All of my other decor items, I have had and used in different parts of the house. My demijohn was used during the Fall filled with cotton stems and a DIY crate. My lamp is from our master bedroom and the galvanized pitcher was used during the Fall on the front porch.
I also took a page out of my friend Shannon’s book (see what I did there? haha) and created book bundles with some of my older paperbacks. It was a simple DIY project that only took a few minutes. I ripped off the covers and wrapped them with twine. I used my favorite hard cover books mixed with my chalk painted text books and added my existing calendar from Joss and Main.
This was such an easy update and only took me a few minutes. I can’t wait for next month because I have some big plans for Spring and using lots of greenery!
